Learners will explore how individuals and organizations can raise awareness, influence decision-makers, and drive policy reforms on issues affecting marginalized or vulnerable populations.

The unit emphasizes participatory methods, coalition-building, rights-based approaches, and the use of media and communication in advocacy work. It also covers the distinction between advocacy and lobbying, and legal/ethical frameworks governing such activities in Kenya and global

Learners will be guided through all stages of a project cycle and will be expected to design and carry out a small-scale community project, either individually or in groups.
